After months of cold and snow, spring has finally sprung! Time to get outside and enjoy all of the fun activities the season has to offer. Before you tend to your garden or head to your local park, make sure you plan for the warmer weather and sunshine.
Vitamin D is essential for our health, and sunlight is our best source; however, too much heat and sunlight can be dangerous. Take these precautions to protect yourself:

- Dress appropriately. Wear a hat and sunglasses (and sunscreen!) even on cloudy days to protect yourself from the sun’s harmful rays. Go for light colors and loose fabrics, and bring layers if you plan to be out early in the morning or late in the evening when it’s typically cooler.
